This is a site that offers some free materials (primarily ideas for games and activities) along with some printable resources (worksheets and flashcards) that are accessible only through paid membership. I've never subscribed to the paid version of the site, but the free content alone is well worth a visit.

This little gem of a website offers literally dozens of free downloadable worksheets, games, and activity sheets. Included are alphabet and phonics resources, thematic materials, story and nursery rhyme patterns, and flash cards.

Operated by teacher and literacy coach Victoria Smith, this site is arguably among the best resources on the net for teachers of young learners. It includes detailed information on setting up and managing a classroom, along with hundreds of ideas for theme-based teaching.

A commercial site, features 1,000+ word children's picture dictionary online; entries in English, English-French, English-German, English-Portuguese, and English-Spanish words; graphics intensive, but worth a visit!
